TOPIC: How art can motivate you

Here are a few ways that art can motivate you:

  • Art can help you express yourself. When you create art, you are able to communicate your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a unique and personal way. This can be a very empowering experience, and it can help you to better understand yourself and the world around you.
  • Art can help you to relax and de-stress. Taking some time to create art can be a great way to escape from the stresses of everyday life. It can help you to focus on the present moment and to let go of your worries.
  • Art can help you to learn new things. There are many different types of art, and each one has its own unique set of skills and techniques. Learning about art can help you to develop your creativity and your problem-solving skills.
  • Art can help you to connect with others. Art is a universal language that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and backgrounds. Sharing your art with others can help you to build relationships and to create a sense of community.
If you are looking for a way to motivate yourself, I encourage you to try creating art. It is a fun, rewarding, and enriching experience that can benefit you in many ways.

Here are a few ideas for how you can get started with art:
  • Take a class. There are many art classes available for people of all ages and skill levels. This is a great way to learn new techniques and to get feedback on your work.
  • Visit a museum or gallery. Looking at art can inspire you to create your own.
  • Read about art. There are many books and articles available that can teach you about different types of art and artists.
  • Experiment with different materials and techniques. There are no rules when it comes to art, so feel free to experiment and have fun.
The most important thing is to just start creating. Don't worry about whether your art is good or bad. Just focus on expressing yourself and having fun.

Favorite Oil Painting Supplies

The following are supplies that I use and love.

Fredrick Blue Label Canvas

Blue Label - very smooth. This canvas is gessoed. I still like to apply more gesso and sand in between the layers of gesso. This will make the canvas even smoother.
